Sellers need to revise their objectives.  Just because a buyer has agreed to meet does not mean that he, or she wants to be sold to.


Treat the early stage sales encounter as as exploratory meeting – an opportunity to learn and understand, to share insights and to determine if your solution could be of interest.  most important of all, put the buyer’s agenda ahead of your own.
